| #JaRule has SPRUNG the COOP! Released from PRISON EARLY!! [details] Posted: 07 May 2013 12:16 PM PDT  Rapper Ja Rule is a FREE MAN TODAY--2 months earlier than expected! According to TMZ, the 37-year-old 'Clap Back' rapper departed Ray Brook Federal Prison in New York on Tuesday morning. His wife reportedly picked him up around 10 a.m. and drove him home. He will remain on home confinement until July 28. Rule pled guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in 2010 and was sentenced to two years behind bars stemming from a 2007 incident when a loaded weapon was found in his car. In July 2011, the "Put It On Me" hitmaker was ordered to serve 28 months in prison for tax evasion. He served the tax evasion sentence at the same time as his gun possession sentence. He was originally set for release in July, but was let out early.  It's good Rule is HOME and now hopefully he can go get back to his craft and BLESS the fans with NEW MUSIC!!! He is a HERO indeed and soon to be the latest VIRAL INTERNET SENSATION due in part to his COLORFUL recount of discovering the lost girls! "I Barbecued with this man...eating ribs and salsa dancing..." Charles Ramsey was eating some dinner Monday night at his home in Cleveland's West Side when he heard screaming. Soon, he was knocking down a neighbor's door, freeing three women and a girl who police say were held hostage for years. Within hours the unassuming man, who works as a dishwasher at a local restaurant, was a national hero, a viral video star, and the top topic on Twitter. "I'm eating my McDonald's, I come outside, and I see this girl going nuts, trying to get out of the house," he told CNN affiliate WEWS in an interview watched around the world. "I got on the porch and she said, 'Help me get out. I've been here a long time." I figured it was a domestic violence dispute. So I open the door. And we can't get in that way 'cause of how the door is, it's so much that a body can't fit through; only your hand." He added, "I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man's arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway." In one of the top tweets about Ramsey, comedian Patton Oswalt wrote, "Dear Charles Ramsey: I am not a little pretty white girl, but I totally want to run into your black arms. #hero." | Say WHAT?? #LaurynHill gets SENTENCED to 3 months in PRISON!!? [details] Posted: 07 May 2013 01:13 AM PDT  Despite sources reporting that Lauryn Hill paid her $970,000 tax debt right before her court date yesterday, it appears that 'Fugees' frontwoman is STILL facing JAIL TIME!!!?? Get the details after the JUMP! A judge in Newark, New Jersey dished out a 3 month sentence for Lauryn! He told Hill that after she completes her stint behind bars, she'll spend 3 more months on house arrest, followed by 9 months of supervised release! OUCH!  Hill pleaded guilty last year to three counts of tax evasion for failing to file returns on $1.8 million she earned from 2005 to 2007. Lauryn's attorney asked for mercy because of her charity work and 6 kids, but the judge REFUSED! During the hearing, the judge ordered Hill to report to prison by July 8. It's unclear where Hill will serve her time. Hill was present during the hearing, and delivered a statement to the judge in which she compared her situation to slavery. "I was put into a system I didn't know the nature of. ... I'm a child of former slaves. I got into an economic paradigm and had that imposed on me," Hill said. She continued, "I sold 50 million units ... now I'm up here paying a tax debt. If that's not likened to slavery, I don't know what is."
