| Gamutt Grabbin'- Artist that sampled #TheCommodores 'Nightshift' [details] Posted: 13 May 2013 10:53 PM PDT  I 'GRABBED' this post from my HOMIE Brillion-A-Million.... The Commodores' SONG 'Nightshift' is a very POPULAR song...TO BE SAMPLED!!! Check out a list of ARTISTS that have taken a stab at using this song as a SAMPLE. Fantasia is not THE ONLY ONE....  Check out a few more via Brillion-A-Million! (since the song is CLASSIC, we will OVERLOOK that the GUYS were PRIMPING and PRUNING in the mirror like WOMEN--LOL) CLASSIC record, but some forget that it was a TRIBUTE song for the passing of two great R&B LEGENDS, Jackie Wilson and Marvin Gaye who BOTH died in 1984. The Commodores Re-RECORDED a version of their HIT in 2010 for the KING OF POP, Michael Jackson! This song was the first hit attained by the Commodores following Lionel Richie's departure from the group. It was also their biggest hit after Richie's departure, peaking at number three on both the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart. Although the band was against the label's decision to release it as a single, it won a Grammy Award in 1985 for Best Vocal R&B Performance by a Duo/Group. SEE THE LABEL is usually RIGHT! | Congrats to @JohnCochran! SOLE SURVIVOR on CBS #Survivor! Posted: 13 May 2013 10:52 PM PDT  Image Credit: Monty Brinton/CBS You may not know, but I am a HUGE 'Survivor' fan! I got on the wagon a bit late seeing that it has been on for at lease 5 years before I started watching, but when I did, I was HOOKED. Last night saw the FINALE of Survivor Fans vs Favorites Caramoan, and UNDER DOG John Cochran SNAGGED the title of 'SOLE SURVIVOR'!!!  John Cochran went the entire season without having a single vote cast against him. Until the final Tribal Council, that is, when he got all the votes he needed and was named the winner of Survivor: Caramoan. It was a remarkable turnaround for a guy who was berated for being disloyal and mocked for his inability in challenges the last time he played in Survivor: South Pacific. Cochran won four individual challenges this season, although two of them were with advantages. (source) I was glad to see Cochran win, but before the final tribal council her did become a BIT COCKY, eluding that he felt he had already WON the million, but he gets a pass. Sometimes the UNDER DOG has to BRAG a little bit about a sudden COME-UPPANCE, right?!! And you have to LOVE his witty, yet insightful description of the other cast mates! | Did you miss #ShereeWhitfield on #Bravo's #WWHL!?? It was LOL HILARIOUS![video] Posted: 13 May 2013 10:45 AM PDT  Wow. Let's set the stage here. Imagine working for a HUGE network on a HIT SHOW and being fired from said show then asked to come back to the network to appear before the person that AXED you!?? Well that was the stage set on Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live' on last night. For those that don't know, Cohen is the executive producer of ALL the 'Housewives' shows. So if Sheree was FIRED or if she 'left' 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta', Andy of course had SOME hand in on it. So, let's get to the GOOD PARTS. Andy took the opportunity to take several jabs at Sheree about the status of her home, Chateau Sheree, NeNe's perception of her as being a "Bitch" (her words NOT MINE) and on her recent appearance on Iyanla's 'Fix My Life'. Before we start, this is FUNNY because the whole time it seemed that Cohen was making a MOCKERY of Sheree is his SWARMY, light-hearted way, while all the while Sheree seemed like the same delusional, woman that we remember on her last appearance on RHOA. Take a look at some of the GOOD PARTS of the show HERE:  Sheree on Chateau Sheree:  Sheree on NeNe: Sheree on Iyanla: Hmm,. so what did we learn about Sheree? Well we see she has not changed much. The house probably will never get finished, you know with all those permits and red tape that she has to go through (side eye). And we have learned that Iyanla is at a DOUBLE 0 when it comes to FIXING ANYBODY's LIFE this season! She couldn't fix DMX, she for sure did not get through to Sheree, so what's next!? LOL. But back to Sheree. Wouldn't it be funny if Andy offered her a reality show about Chateau Sheree!? I've seen them develop shows on Bravo with LESS of a storyline than that. So hopefully after the show, Sheree put on her BUSINESS WOMAN hat and tried to get Andy and Bravo to GREENLIGHT a spin-off for HER and her DELUSIONS!!! I'd watch, and I think you would too, RIGHT???
