Amanda Bynes has gone in on RIHANNA on TWITTER!!! And of course BAD GIRL RIRI has RESPONDED!! This is what started the whole SHA-BANG: YES, AMANDA went there!!! "MenaceIISociety" Celebrates 20 year Anniversary! Celebs REACT to the movie's impact! [video] Posted: 26 May 2013 01:07 PM PDT Can you believe that it's been 20 years since the making of the GROUNDBREAKING Hughes Brothers film, 'Menace II Society'!!?? 'Menace' was twin brothers Allen and Albert Hughes' directorial debut--the guys were only 21!! When 'Menace II Society' premiered in theaters across America it was hailed by Roger Ebert as "powerful" and "impressive,"! The late great Ebert went on to say: He (Caine) has the values of his immediate circle, and the lack of imagination: He cannot envision a world for himself outside of the limited existence of guns, cars, drugs and swagger. This movie, like many others, reminds us that murder is the leading cause of death among young black men. But it doesn't blame the easy target of white racism for that: It looks unblinkingly at a street culture that offers its members few choices that are not self-destructive. The 1993 film dives into the complexities of street violence in Los Angeles' Watts neighborhood. I follows the life of 'Caine' and his close group of friends as they ATTEMPT to navigate through LIFE and inevitable DEATH in the mean streets of South Central L.A. Twenty years later, STREET CULTURE is STILL CELEBRATED and problems with the 'system' have MAGNIFIED!
