Whatever it is, CONTROVERSY seems to FOLLOW this guy. With that being said, the title of his UPCOMING project is SURE to raise more than a FEW EYEBROWS!!! Check out the CONTROVERSIAL title ...AFTER THE JUMP!!!   Sources are reporting that the project will be called 'YEEZUS' Interesting, right??  The project is set to DROP June 18th. I can honestly say, and I maybe DATING myself, but the 'Janet' disc was the FIRST COMPACT DISC that I ever OWNED!!! Wow. Twenty years later the DISC is STILL a CLASSIC track after TRACK!! The INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR sat down with 'Billboard' mag to discuss this MONUMENTAL EVENT! May 18 marks the 20th anniversary of "janet." How would you describe what that album captures about your life at that time? I can't believe it is already 20 years! I always write my music based on what is going on in my life at the time. I wanted to allow people in… I want my fans to really know me. The 'janet' album was sexual and I was beginning to really discover that side of me.There are musical references and direct samples of janet. songs all over the place now, most notably on Kendrick Lamar's "Poetic Justice." Have you heard most of these re-interpretations (Moon Boots' "Sugar," which samples "If," How To Dress Well's cover of "Again," MNEK's "That's The Way Love Goes" etc?) And how does it feel to see your work have such impact on new artists? I have listened to the music that is out there and I love Kendrick's "Poetic Justice." There are artists, true performers that have come before me who have been a big inspiration to me. I hope I do the same for others. Several of the songs on janet. and their accompanying videos were groundbreaking at the time for their overt sexuality. Why was it so important for you to express that part of yourself in your work, and how did you convince others around you at the time to let you take those risks? Like I said before, I write about my experiences or things that touch me deeply. I was really beginning to get in tune with my sexual self. This is what I wanted to express so I did. The decision to move forward in an artistic way is mine. I didn't need to convince anyone.Many artists cite you as a role model and a huge influence on their career and image. Which artists today do you admire? I'm flattered that other artists consider me a role model. I'm really enjoying what Bruno Mars and Adele are doing, a lot of artistry there. LEGENDARY!!!! At the conference, TPOTUS had a few Marines hold UMBRELLAS over them to shield them from the RAIN! Well, according to the Marines' rules of conduct, they are not ALLOWED to use umbrellas while in uniform, BUT made and EXCEPTION for The President. It seems some conservatives, namely Sarah Palin had some GRIPE about that!   Some conservatives chimed in with Palin saying the Marines aren't 'VALETS'!? Hmmm, the Leader of the FREE WORLD can pretty much do what he PLEASES and if that means making accommodations to keep him SAFE & DRY--SO BE IT!! To Palin and the conservatives--"SHUT-UP"! Instead of debuting his latest video on Youtube, or Vevo, Yeezy took it to the STREETS...literally!!!  Yeezy projected his latest clip on the sides of buildings in 66 locations around the world, giving fans little forewarning before the first premiere. He posted the viewing times and locations on his KanyeWest.com site and about 100 fans answered the call and gathered on the corner of 14th Street and 10th Avenue in New York City's Meatpacking District as many as 30 minutes before the scheduled 11:45 p.m. showing.  The truck that drove around the city projecting the vid was an hour late, but the delay didn't seem to matter much to the dedicated flock who gasped as the stark black and white image of their rap hero shot up on a matte black wall. CREEPY or INGENIOUS!!??? From the TONE and VORACITY of Kanye's delivery, it seems we are in for quite a DIFFERENT, more PIERCING Kanye West project this time around.
