| ATL DJ SHOT by police at #RickRoss Album Release party REVEALED! [details] Posted: 03 Mar 2014 07:39 PM PST  Remember when I reported this a.m. about the shooting at Atlanta's "The Velvet Room"? A DJ was shot in the leg after opening fire at 2 cops on duty at the time. I told you guys that I knew who the dj was, but at the time i didn't want to drop a name, because I was hoping I was wrong. This is a very POPULAR DJ in ATL, and a really nice guy, so I was HOPING he was not involved in this altercation. 'The Voice in the Street' Beestroh was the DJ that opened fire at the popular night spot.  Beestroh is a POPULAR dj at ATL's 107.9 a producer and an actor. He is a MAINSTAY in many of ATL's hottest clubs and really nice guy. It SURPRISED me that he would be involved in a shooting. The GUNFIRE rang out just hours after Beestroh posted the following to INSTAGRAM:  It is UNCLEAR what the shooting was about. The two officers have been put on administrative leave at present, and Beestroh was arrested before being transferred to Grady Hospital for treatment.  |

Also, you should know the history between Stoute and rapper 50-Cent. Brief history lesson--Stoute was responsible for DROPPING 50-Cent from Sony back in 2000, following 50's shooting that almost ENDED HIS LIFE. And to just recently, Stoute had some CHOICE words to say about the rapper on Hot 97.5. 50 hasn't had a hit in a really long time. He has not made anything musically that has changed anything in a very really long time. I feel like he's always gearing up for something that never happens.It's pretty fair to say that Stoute's words are for the most part TRUE, right? In another interview, he said 50 Cent was never grateful for participation in 50 Cent's collaboration with Reebok. 50 Cent never thanked me for that. The guy made so much money off of that, and the guy never thanked me," Stoute said. "He walks around and says he can't stand me. I don't think he can stand anybody. I don't know who he likes, but he definitely doesn't like me. I gave him his first deal, gave him the sneaker deal. I don't know. He just don't like me." So apparently 50 must've felt some TYPE OF WAY about his 'friend', so when the two met up at a recent Knicks game, it does not appear that the two exchanged PLEASANTRIES! Lupita Nyong'o won the Oscar for best supporting actress Sunday for her role as Patsey in Steve McQueen's "12 Years a Slave." The film represented a major triumph in the life of the Mexican-born, Kenyan-raised actress, who came to acting relatively late — "12 Years a Slave" was, incredibly, her first film. Watch her emotional acceptance speech as she tearfully thanked her co-star, Chiwetel Ejiofor and many of the behind the scenes players that have made her career what it is THUS FAR! [details] Posted: 03 Mar 2014 06:26 AM PST  What can be better than celebrating the release of your 6th studio album with a party in your honor hosted by your good friend. This was the scene set at Atlanta's UBER popular 'The Velvet Room' on last night. Rick Ross was celebrating the release of 'Mastermind' his upcoming cd, at the nightspot which was hosted by Diddy when SHOTS RANG OUT!! Get the DETAILS after the JUMP! VIA [AJC] A DJ was shot and wounded early Monday during a shootout with police officers outside a popular DeKalb County nightclub, police said. The shooting happened outside the Velvet Room, a club in the 3300 block of Chamblee Tucker Road.  The club was hosting an album release party Sunday night for Rick Ross and Sean "Diddy" Combs, according to the Velvet Room's website.About 4 a.m., two off-duty officers working at the nightclub heard gunshots in the back of the club, according to DeKalb Public Safety Director Cedric Alexander. When the officers responded to the rear of the club, "one subject turned toward them, firing shots," Alexander said. "They returned fire, hitting the subject in the leg." The officers were uninjured, according to Alexander. He said the wounded man, who was identified to investigators as a disc jockey at the club, got up and went back inside the club, where he was arrested before being transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. "For whatever unknown reasons, it appears that this DJ who was involved in the shooting with some others turned and shot at the officers, and that's when they returned fire," Alexander said. He said the off-duty officers were in full uniform, and identified themselves as officers when they responded to the gunfire behind the club. "They were doing what they were trained to do," Alexander told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "They took all the necessary actions to protect themselves and each other." The officers were placed on administrative duty, standard procedure when an officer is involved in a shooting. The wounded DJ's name has not been released. But I KNOW who it is...will reveal that later today.... Sources confirm that Diddy nor Rick Ross were involved at all in the shooting.
