WHO KNEW? Oscar winner, #LupitaNyongo got her START on a RACY Kenyan Soap Opera to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS. [video]

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o has had a STELLAR past few years, nabbing the BIG AWARD for her very first film.  But DID you know Nyong'o got her start on a VERY RACY Kenyan soap opera!


Long before she was an Academy Award winner, Lupita was a soap star. On the Kenyan MTV show 'Shuga', she played Ayira. The soap was pretty racy. On the soap, her character had affairs with 2 men--one being her boss. The show was used to raise awareness of HIV/Aids when her character feared she had contracted the disease. The soap was actually a hit and was broadcast across 40 African countries. WHO KNEW?

#ChrisBrown & #KarreuchiTran SPLIT---Again! [details]

It appears that the on-again off-again romance between Chris Brown and Karreuchi Tran is OFF again..for now.

If you keep up with SOCIAL MEDIA, you would have noticed that both have been ABSENT from each other's respective pages, despite Tran standing by her man in recent months through his legal and personal struggles.

Tran cleared the air when she posted Wednesday:


"Not dating anyone stop w the bs,'. She subsequently posted on Instagram as well, with the caption, "Please and thank you."
The following day, Karrueche posted a photo of the quote, "Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle," with an "assignment" to try and recognize the "hard battle" being fought by those you meet that day.


Brown has been relatively low-key since going into rehab, with in frequent postings about his upcoming new project 'X' and photos of him in the studio. No mention of Tran.

Uncanny timing? Well all the while it appears a friendship, is heating up between Rihanna and Drake. The two have been spotted frequently together over the past few weeks in Paris. Ms. Fenty even took the stage with Drake recently while on his European leg of 'Would You Like A Tour'. And since Rihanna's birthday in February, Page Six reports that the two have been texting back and forth. Hmmm.... THESE TWO.

But right now, it appears Brown is focused on his personal life and getting that in order. Brown recently tweeted:
"Focused on my Recovery and Music... Nothing more, nothing less."

And that's just what he SHOULD be doing. He has had a lot of success and a lot of pressures in his career. Some to his DETRIMENT, so it's fine time that he refocus on the talent and star power that has gotten him to where he today. All the personal setbacks, rants, and erratic behavior just distract from the music... and that's what has catapulted him to the heights he has reached.



 He need to FOCUS on that because FAME is here today and gone tomorrow if you don't handle it correctly.  If you want to HIT on occasion, then just do that.  But when you are an INTERNATIONAL star, it's HARD to maintain a meaningful relationship when you are also trying to maintain a career.  The demands are too great so something usually goes lacking, and  a lot of the time its personal life.  SORRY, it's the life they chose...DEAL WITH IT.
