March 16th, 1996: "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men made history topping the Billboard Charts for 16 weeks- the longest reign in Billboard history! "One Sweet Day" has been lauded with a universal acclaim by contemporary music critics. In his review for Daydream, Bill Lamb from About.com gave the song praise, calling Carey and Boyz II Men a "perfect vocal match" and wrote "together they turn what could be a rather morose ballad into a truly inspiring and hopeful performance." Allmusic's senior editor, Stephen Thomas Erlewine praised the song for its craft and writing, commenting that "[in] "One Sweet Day," a duet with Boyz II Men, Carey appeals to both audiences equally because of the sheer amount of craft and hard work she puts into her albums. In addition to his birthday trip, Lutz and his team asked fans via Twitter to help him raise $29,000 in honor of his 29th birthday for Saving Innocence, a charity that helps rescue and restore child victims of sex trafficking in the United States. [video] Posted: 17 Mar 2014 02:56 AM PDT  WELL another INTERESTING episode of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' has passed! Did you ENJOY? Well for all pretense and purposes, it moved a bit SLOW to me. It didn't really HEAT up until the last 10 minutes, if you ask me. The SNAKE thing was interesting. And navigating the caves was..interesting. Kenya TRIED to stir the pot EARLY by stripping to her bikini and taking a DIVE in the underground pond. Of course, keeping her eye on Apollo and Phaedra was keeping her eyes on HIM... BUT the real deal came when Kenya made her way into the lounge where the GUYS were smoking cigars.  Peter and Todd seemed to be the WINGMEN for Apollo, as Kenya MANIPULATED her way into a ONE-on-One convo with Apollo about the alleged TWEET-gate scandal between the two. After their BACK-AND FORT, it's hard to believe either one. Did that 'ALMOST MEET & GREET' ever really happen in L.A. Kenya says NO, but Apollo says YES... and before it's HATCHED OUT, Phaedra appears to get to the BOTTOM on their cozy little MEETING... [details] Posted: 17 Mar 2014 01:58 AM PDT  I was thinking that I know very little about St. Patrick's day besides you are supposed to wear green or you may get pinched and that most people use the day to drink excessive amounts of Green Beer until they pass out. But where did this holiday originate? Saint Patrick's Day is a religious holiday celebrated internationally on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland. It originated as a Roman Catholic holiday but is now observed by Protestant churches also (especially the Church of Ireland).[1] It became an official feast day in the early 17th century. Over time, Saint Patrick's Day has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Irish culture.  Originally, the colour associated with Saint Patrick was blue. Over the years the colour green and its association with Saint Patrick's day grew. Green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick's Day as early as the 17th century. He is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish, and the wearing and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the day.
