| #VMAs- #NickiMinaj DANCER bitten by SNAKE during VMA rehearsals! [details Posted: 24 Aug 2014 10:54 AM PDT  Nicki has been teasing an OVER THE TOP VMA performance at tonight's BIG SHOW. But Friday Onika and her crew ran into some problems at rehearsal when one of dancers got BITTEN by a SNAKE!!! Get the DETAILS here!  According to Chris Velvin, director of production safety for Viacom Media Networks, the snake's handler was watching the entire performance and the woman was treated immediately by an on-site medic. The dancer was transported to a local hospital out of "an abundance of caution," Velvin said, though the wound was treated on site and is not life-threatening. The snake, a Dumeril's boa constrictor named Rocky who has been in the entertainment business for 15 years, bit the woman on the inside of her left arm and was removed from the stage by its handler after the incident. At press time the plan was to use a different snake, either another boa or a python, for Sunday's live VMA performance. During the rehearsal, the woman had the snake draped around her shoulders and, at some point, was bitten by the non-venomous, docile reptile known for wrapping tightly around its prey and squeezing. The music was stopped shortly after the dancer was bitten and a concerned Minaj said, "Did she get bit by the snake?" Nicki quickly moved across the stage to check on the dancer, who was positioned toward the back of the set, to see if she was OK. According to Velvin, the snake's handler from Hollywood Animals said it had never had a biting incident before, and though its bite is non-venomous, the medic cleaned and treated the wound because with any bite there is a chance of infection. [details] Posted: 24 Aug 2014 07:22 AM PDT  The upcoming Whitney Houston biopic for Lifetime, directed by Angela Bassett has had its fair share of controversy already and it doesn't impact until 2015. In the midst of the controversy, Deborah Cox has been SILENT--until now. Cox was commissioned to re-create Houston's vocals when production ran into music clearance issues. She opens up about the experience to 'BillBoard'.  Airing in 2015, Lifetime's I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story," starring Yaya DaCosta (pictured below, right), has already faced major challenges. Family matriarch Cissy Houston denounced the biopic, directed by Angela Bassett. Then there were problems securing the rights to Houston's vocals. To overcome the latter hurdle, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter ("Nobody's Supposed to Be Here") and Broadway star (Aida, Jekyll & Hyde) Deborah Cox, 40, was asked to re-create several tracks. "I knew I had some big shoes to fill," says Cox. "But I did the job that was supposed to be done." The singer talked to Billboard about her work on the project. What will fans hear in your rendering of those songs? The key was to sing in a tone as close to Whitney's as possible, purely from the heart. None of Deborah Cox seeped into the performances. I have a little more of a cry in my tone when I sing certain things; her tone is round and warm. It was about creating the essence of her. I still haven't read the script. Angela would tell me what was happening in a particular scene, so I sang with the spirit of that in mind. She was directing me in the studio, which was cool. I was very unbiased. I didn't have any preconceptions. You recorded the 2000 single "Same Script, Different Cast" with Houston. What would she say about your role in this biopic? "Go on, girl!" She was always that kind of motivator when working with her in the studio. Doing that single was a dream come true. She loved singing with other singers; there's a great exchange and camaraderie that can happen. We laughed and had fun telling stories about the business. And I heeded a lot of her advice like have children and don't miss out on personal things. I was honored to have those quiet moments with her. I always say I came from the School of Whitney Houston. GUNFIRE rung out at a Pre-VMA party that Chris Brown was performing at. Suge Knight was STRUCK TWICE!!! Inside 1OAK - Watch More Celebrity Videos or Subscribe Shots rang out at 1OAK nightclub in West Hollywood at around 1:30 AM Sunday ... and Suge Knight was shot twice and taken to the hospital by ambulance where he's currently in surgery ... eyewitnesses and Suge's family tell TMZ. A source close to Suge tells us ... he was shot in the stomach and arm.  Tyson Beckford, Robert Ri'chard and Apple de Ap all tell TMZ ... they were inside the pre-VMA party hosted by Chris Brown when they heard 4 shots ring out inside the club. Suge walked out on his own power ... a cop spotted him and walked the rap mogul to the police car where Suge sat. Suge was then put in an ambulance and taken to a local hospital. We do not know the seriousness of Suge's injuries. Multiple sources now tell us Suge was one of 3 people were were shot. At least 1 is in critical condition. The Timberwolves' Kevin Love has been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers! With the 30 days up since No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins signed his rookie contract, the Cleveland Cavaliers have officially dealt Wiggins to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a three-way trade that nets the Cavs star power forward Kevin Love, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Cavs 2013 No. 1 pick Anthony Bennett joins Wiggins in Minnesota, along with Thaddeus Young, who heads to the Wolves from the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers get the expiring contracts of Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved and the Miami Heat's 2015 first-round pick via Cleveland. The trade is a long time coming for Love, who has been the subject of trade rumors ever since he expressed displeasure with Wolves management in 2012.  By adding Love, the Cavs now have a formidable Big Three of Love, James and Kyrie Irving. Young talent in Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson remains, while Anderson Varejao is a solid veteran presence down low when healthy. Cleveland has signed veterans Mike Miller and Shawn Marion to bolster its wing depth, and a Ray Allen signing is still a possibility. With star power and solid depth, the Cavs are favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference and a surefire title contender. Love won't sign a long-term extension immediately, but he's expected to opt out of his contract after next season and then sign a new max contract in Cleveland. We've seen the CLIPS...lol Now it seems that Floyd Mayweather is clapping back by SHOWING the WORLD how much MONEY he makes!!!  HE CAPTIONED THE PIC: "Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless." I guess he is IMPLYING that he is RICH--he doesn't HAVE to read well..... Now of course you know 50 had to CLAP back and CLAP BACK HARD! See what he said after the JUMP! LOL. You KNOW 50 Cent has SC roots--he's eating a PLUM while TAUNTING his ONCE UPON A TIME FRIEND! LOL. "I guess you want people to see your math is better then your reading. We're not going to RAG 50 too much, but it should read: "Get AN account" not " a account". When the word following 'a' begins with a VOWEL, you have to use 'AN' instead of 'A' 50.
