#Beyonce' TEASES new video for 'Grown Woman'! [video]

Posted: 07 Dec 2013 10:37 PM PST

It has been speculated for awhile if Beyonce was working on a new music video since she has been spotted on sets in different locations with camera crews, but no one was really sure what she was up to, as she is so secretive about any of her upcoming projects. Well, wonder no more because she finally unleashes a teaser for the visual to "Grown Woman". If you will recall, Queen Bey sent her Beyhive into a frenzy last spring when she debuted the single in a Pepsi commercial, but soon after the single "fizzled out". It was supposed to be the first single from her forthcoming fifth studio album, but unhappy with the direction in which the project was headed and with a supposed tracklist leaking, she decided to scrap the project and start from square one. The song, however, became a fan favorite and she performed it on her Mrs. Carter world tour. An official single nor a video was ever released... until now! No word yet on when the full video will premiere but until then, enjoy this 80-second teaser!

Quite... different, wouldn't you say?

2014 #Grammy nominations announced! #JayZ leads the PACK while some others got SNUBBED!! [details]

Posted: 07 Dec 2013 07:57 AM PST

Last night, nominations were announced for the 56th Grammy awards during the nominations concert in Los Angeles. Many artists predictably walked away with multiple nods, while others were surprisingly left empty-handed.

Jay-Z gets a belated birthday gift this week by leading the pack with 9 nominations. Not bad for an album that wasn't very critically acclaimed. However, his buddy Kanye West, who usually gets just as many, is somewhere throwing a hissy fit over his measly 2 nominations, I'm sure. Justin Timberlake and Kendrick Lamar (nominated in the major categories of best new artist and album of the year) followed with 7 nominations each, and despite his last-minute absence from the event, Drake's presence was strongly felt as he garnered 4 nominations.

Other multiple nominees included Tamar Braxton, Robin Thicke, Fantasia, and New Zealand newcomer Lorde. Disappointingly absent from the nominations was Brandy, whose "Two Eleven" album released at the end of last year was a strong contender. Rapper J. Cole didn't fare too well this year either. The former best new artist nominee only walked away with a single nomination this year despite his successful "Born Sinner" album. The Grammys proved equally "unapologetic" to usual reigning pop princess Rihanna, as her album only got a single nomination in the R&B category. In "WTF" news, actor-turned-singer Tristan "Mack" Wilds' debut album "New York: A Love Story", an incohesive mess of hip-hop samples which also includes a lackluster remake of Michael Jackson's "Remember the Time" somehow managed to be nominated in the best R&B album category. I bought the album out of curiosity because it was $7.00 but never in a billion years would I have deemed it worthy of a Grammy nomination! Who votes on these things?! Anyway, I digress...
