[details] Posted: 19 Jun 2013 09:54 PM PDT  Yesterday, I reported that in a SHOCKING DEPOSITION, celebrity chef and television personality, Paula Deen ADMITTED to using the 'N' word AND also admitted to engaging in RACIST-LIKE repartee....but only in the context of 'JOKING' or if she is ANGRY!? WTF??  Get the DETAILS and actual TRANSCRIPT from the case...AFTER THE JUMP! Paula's rep issued the following statement: "Ms. Deen does not condone or find the use of racial epithets acceptable. She is looking forward to her day in court."  Deen was being deposed in connection with a pending sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former employee who claims she was subjected to a barrage of racist, sexist and generally inappropriate comments while she worked at Paula's Oyster House restaurant in Georgia. Here is an EXCERPT from the jaw-dropping deposition: ________________________________________ Lawyer: Have you ever used the N-word yourself? Paula: Yes, of course. Lawyer: Okay. In what context? Paula: Well, it was probably when a black man burst into the bank that I was working at and put a gun to my head. Sidebar -- Paula was held up at gunpoint during a bank robbery in 1986. Lawyer: Okay. And what did you say? Paula: Well, I don't remember, but the gun was dancing all around my temple ... I didn't -- I didn't feel real favorable towards him. Lawyer: Okay. Well, did you use the N-word to him as he pointed a gun in your head at your face? Paula: Absolutely not. Lawyer: Well, then, when did you use it? Paula: Probably in telling my husband. Lawyer: Okay. Have you used it since then? Paula: I'm sure I have, but it's been a very long time.  Paula: No. Lawyer: Has it occurred with sufficient frequency that you cannot recall all of the various context in which you've used it? Paula: No, no. Lawyer: Well, then tell me the other context in which you've used the N-word? Paula: I don't know, maybe in repeating something that was said to me. Lawyer: Like a joke? Paula: No, probably a conversation between blacks. I don't -- I don't know. But that's just not a word that we use as time has gone on. Things have changed since the '60s in the south. And my children and my brother object to that word being used in any cruel or mean behavior. As well as I do. James Gandolfini -- who famously played Tony Soprano on "The Sopranos" -- died earlier today in Italy ... TMZ has learned. Gandolfini is believed to have suffered a MASSIVE heart attack. He was 51. Gandolfini was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily -- and he was scheduled to participate in a festival event this weekend with Italian director Gabriele Muccino.  A press-shy celeb who got his start as a character actor and became famous relatively late in his career — thanks to his breakout role on "The Sopranos," Gandolfini has largely avoided the spotlight since the last season of the beloved show aired in 2007. The burly Westwood, N.J. native has appeared in several supporting roles since then, playing the director of the CIA in "Zero Dark Thirty" and the gruff blue-collar father of a wannabe rock star in "Not Fade Away" last year. [details] Posted: 19 Jun 2013 01:02 PM PDT  Stopping into STARBUCKS daily maybe a part of your everyday MEANDERINGS, right? Have you ever stopped to THINK just how many CALORIES you are consuming even before you get to the BREAKROOM in you office to find that sweet Martha from accounting baked a bundt cake for the office? (That was a LONG A$$ sentence, I know).  Well starting next week, you will be able to see just HOW MANY calories your fave bevefrage or scone actually contains! It may make you want to DOWNSIZE.... Get the DETAILS after the JUMP!!  The multibillion-dollar coffeehouse chain just announced that it will add calorie counts to menus, staying a step ahead of the FDA. This morning, Starbucks announced that starting next Tuesday it will post the calorie content of all its coffee drinks and food items in all its company-owned stores in the U.S. This is big news, and overdue. The FDA was supposed to release national rules for the national labeling required of all restaurants with at least 20 locations -- one of the best, if least-noticed, parts of the Affordable Care Act. Years later, food-industry skirmishes and rumored cold feet by the White House Office of Management and Budget are still holding up those rules, as Marion Nestle recently documented. But even after the rules come out, which the FDA says now will be by the end of this year, there'll be at least another year to wait for them to be implemented.  (source) So does looking at the calories next to your favorite food item deter you from getting it? In most cases NO. The nody wants what it wants, even if it means a FATTER America. Right now fast-food restaurants aren't MANDATED to disclose their calories on the menu, but it's coming down the pipeline. Other fast-food GIANTS have already started doing so, like McDonald's and Panera Bread. Celebrity chef Paula Deen has admitted to using the N-word and telling insensitive racial jokes during a May 17 deposition that was videotaped — and also confessed to her brother's cocaine, pornography and alcohol addictions! Paula, 66, admitted to using the N-word and wanting black waiters to play the role of slaves at a wedding party she was putting together, a new bombshell report from the National Enquirer claims.
