| #MercedesBenz #FashionWeek Fall/Winter 2014-15 #BCBG Max Azria Collection [video] Posted: 08 Feb 2014 09:30 PM PST   New York Fashion Week 2014 kicked off in Manhattan Thursday, Feb. 6, with designer BCBG Max Azria showcasing its new fall/winter 2014 collection, according to Feb. 6 USA Today report. The show followed the first designer to helm Fashion Week, Nicholas K, who debuted a gothic chic collection. Being the part of the first few designers to rock the runway requires "a lot of guts," Azria observed before the show. "We always do something that other people are not doing. It's all about length and geometrics and colors."  Long dresses were the focal point of the collection for the Azria, who noted that the one item every woman should have in her fashion closet for fall 2014 is "[a] beautiful long dress for the day." Also dominating the runway, were asymmetrical styles, shearling, parkas, knee-high boots, and menswear shirts, USA Today reports. [details] Posted: 08 Feb 2014 07:59 PM PST  After much public OUTCRY and online petitions against it-- the George Zimmerman/DMX fight has been CANCELLED!!! This was a BAD IDEA from the beginning, but it seems that the fight promoter, finally came to his senses and realized how bad an idea it rally was. In a series of tweets Saturday afternoon Damon Feldman explained his decision to cancel the match that was announced earlier this week. "This was the wrong person to put in the ring and define celebrity boxing thank you," he tweeted from his handle @hollywoodbox11. "I walked away from av [sic] million dollar payday with this fight but to be honest I'd rather be happy and make people happy thank you."  Feldman adds, "Just looked at my son and daughter today wow I'm so lucky those people must be in so much pain ... all you people are right." 'Those people' must mean the friends and family of Trayvon Martin we are assuming, but a better choice of wording could have been used, wouldn't you agree? I'm just saying. I am sure the public outcry and the petitions is what made Feldman see the LIGHT. But due to concerns from the public Feldman apologized Saturday and said he did not wish to go through with it. "I wasn't being disrespected [sic] to anyone I had a plan here with this fight I'll let you know soon hope everyone is happy I'm very sorry," he tweeted. | #Sochi Winter Games open with much FANFARE and a few GLITCHES! [details] Posted: 08 Feb 2014 05:09 AM PST  Did you miss the Sochi Winter Olympics opening ceremony? Well it opened with FANFARE and a few glitches to say the least.  The Games kicked off with a little girl named Lubov walking us through Russian history and culture in an eye-catching opening sequence. When it was over, five giant illuminated snowflakes appeared suspended inside the Fisht Olympic Stadium.  This was the big payoff. The snowflakes morphed into the five Olympic rings. Except for that pesky last snowflake. It was stubborn. I am sure SOMEONE got fired over this.  Get the DISH on the OPENING CEREMONY after the JUMP! In a NUTSHELL that was their take on the opening ceremonies.    |
