That's a MIGHT LONG TIME to be in love, but sometimes things SOUR or you grow apart. Thicke, however is not quite ready to let her go and in a recent tour stop, he let that be known. Before performing "Lost Without You," addressed the audience: For those who don't know, my wife and I separated a few days ago. Yeah… I want everyone in here to know that I'm trying to get my girl back. You know, she told me you should go out there and tell the truth. You should tell them that you are trying to get her back. She's a good woman, you know. It's hard to sit here in front of everybody, but you know what I want you to help me with, I want you to help me with this next song. If you got somebody with you tonight that you love, and you appreciate, hold on tight to them. Take care of them. I want to dedicate this song to her. I wrote this about her, and I need y'all help to get through it.Seemed like a WELL-ORCHESTRATED segue into the next song to me, but YOU be the JUDGE! | 'Singled OUT!' #Vh1 AXES #SingleLadies! Current season is the LAST! [details] Posted: 28 Feb 2014 09:27 PM PST  This season I tuned into Vh1's 'Single Ladies' episode one...AND FELL ASLEEP! Honestly. And I haven't been moved to watch an episode again. Something had left the show and not quite sure what it was.. but I was thinking, "Is anyone TALKING about 'Single Ladies' on social media?" Just yesterday I was thinking how much LIFE was left in the scripted drama...apparently, NOT MUCH! The SERIES will WRAP after this current season! That's RIGHT, Vh1 has AXED the SHOW!! Are we surprised? I am not. Get the DETAILS after the jump! VH1 will not continue on with Single Ladies. The music-themed cable network has opted to cancel the hourlong dramedy after three seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter. From executive producer Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment, the series was VH1's first hourlong scripted series. "We've been proud to deliver three seasons of the drama, romance and style that engaged viewers in each episode of Single Ladies," VH1 said in a statement. "Although we've decided not to move forward with another season, we hope to work again with the talented cast, creatives and producers as well as our partners at Flavor Unit Entertainment in the near future. We also thank the show's fans for their support since the premiere in 2011." In its third season, 'Single Ladies' is averaging 2.2 million total viewers, on par with its sophomore run. The decision to cancel Single Ladies comes two days after the cable network picked up 1990s-set scripted drama Hindsight to series. Hindsight is VH1's third original scripted drama, joining cheerleading entry Hit the Floor, which was renewed for a second season in July. (Source:THR) Vh1 can churn out easy, CHEAP reality shows like 'Love & Hip Hop' and etc at a FRACTION of the cost it takes to make a LUSH, drama like 'Single Ladies'. [details] Posted: 28 Feb 2014 08:00 PM PST  In today's society, it is imperative that we instill in our youth that they can excel and do just about anything they set their mind's and hearts to. One does not have to confine themselves to one lane or one area of expertise. We can excel in many areas. A perfect example of this type of thinking comes in the form of Paul Robeson. Robeson was an African American concert singer (bass-baritone), recording artist, athlete and actor who became noted for his political radicalism and activism in the civil rights movement. The son of an escaped slave, Robeson was the first major concert star to popularize the performance of Negro spirituals and was the first black actor of the 20th century to portray Shakespeare's Othello alongside an all white cast. A nationally renowned football player from 1917 to the early 1920s, Robeson was an All-American athlete, Phi Beta Kappa Society laureate during his years at Rutgers University. In 1923, Robeson drifted into amateur theater work and within a decade he had become an international star of stage, screen, radio and film. Robeson went on to be a recipient of the NAACP's Spingarn Medal, the Stalin Peace Prize and of honorary memberships in over half a dozen trade unions. James Earl Jones, Sidney Poitier and Harry Belafonte have cited Robeson's lead film roles as being the first to display dignity for black actors and pride in African heritage. Though one of the most internationally famous people of the 20th century, blacklisting during the Cold War has largely kept Paul Robeson out of mainstream interpretations of history.  Paul Robeson is an example of what tenacity and courage can cultivate. Robeson did not let a box confine him. He was a prolific activist, actor and athlete. This shows us that we can master and excel in many different areas of life no matter what obstacles may stand in your way.  As we close out Black History 2014, lets take the richness of the culture, the strength of the people, and mission of the forefathers to make BLACK HISTORY everybody's history. On a recent appearance on 'The Arsenio Hall Show', Hall asked Sanders about his feelings towards Michael Sam's sexuality and the NFL.  He had this to say: HONESTY. Sanders said he does not condone nor condemn, but that there was ALWAYS somebody GAY in the locker room when he played. Sanders has played on 5 different teams in his career. So Michael Sam maybe the 1st OPENLY gay NFL baller. But just by the law of probabilities, we know he is/will not be the ONLY one? Some will NEVER come out PUBLICLY, but we KNOW it's THERE.
