| 1st Look: 'America's Got Talent' 4-Man Judging Panel! [video] Posted: 04 Mar 2013 09:02 PM PST  The NEWLY-FORMED 4-'man' judging panel for 'America's Got Talent', wasted no time getting down to business. The new crew were busy yesterday, critiquing 'AGT' hopefuls in Louisiana. We see Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howard Stern getting comfortable in their judges chair for the 1st time here.  On this panel the LADIES are side by side unlike 'American Idol' where you'll NEVER see Mariah and Nicki seated next to each other. Hopefully there will be 4-part 'harmony' with this new panel! | Former #NoLimit rapper #MrMagic KILLED in car accident! [details] Posted: 04 Mar 2013 09:01 PM PST  Sad news to report in the Hip-Hop world. Complex has reported that former No Limit rapper Mr. Magic, aka Awood Johnson, was killed in a car accident in Mississippi on Friday at the age of 45. His wife was also killed in the crash, but their daughter, who was riding with them at the time, thankfully survived. There are no other details at this time. | #HeidiKlum joins judging panel of 'America's Got Talent'! [details] Posted: 04 Mar 2013 12:03 PM PST Well, well well, the judging panel for NBC's 'America's Got Talent' has just gotten prettier! We announced that former Spice Girl Mel B had signed on to replace Sharon Osbourne, now the show has done something else they've never done--GONE TO A 4 man judging panel. AGT had added supermodel, Heidi Klum in a LAST MINUTE decision to try a 4-person panel! Klum has already joined the rest of the judges in New Orleans for the 1st auditions! Auditions around the country for the show's eighth season begin this week. This isn't the first time a long-running reality show has added a fourth judge hoping to boost ratings. | Critics PAN #KevinHart's #SNL Stint! [details] Posted: 04 Mar 2013 11:16 AM PST  FOr those that missed it Kevin Hart hosted the venerable 'Saturday Night Live' this past weekend. Great right? Well in theory, YES in execution, some critics are saying 'NO'. Critics are coming out to say that Kevin Hart's performance on 'SNL was pained and "heartless". So did Kevin Hart 'phone it in' this time? You tell me.... Get more details after the JUMP! When it was announced two weeks ago that comedian Kevin Hart would host SNL, an odd debate sprung up online over whether Hart was "qualified" (i.e., "famous enough") for the gig. Hart has certainly had a huge year, with his film Think Like A Man and comedy album Laugh At My Pain both raking in millions, and his SNL episode received higher ratings than Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz's two weeks ago. Regardless, it's not for us to decide whether or not someone is famous enough to host — only whether or not his talents make him a good fit for the show.  Yes, Hart did occasionally stumble over lines and plow through most sketches with a high-octane, mile-a-minute delivery. But considering he never lost his cool (even during some flatlining bits) and gave every sketch his all, he still came across as a likable, gracious, and often funny host. Hart gave the performance of a comedian who knew he had a lot to prove, and, for better or worse, he left it all out on stage. Of course, he couldn't save a hit-or-miss lineup of promising yet unsatisfying sketches, and the obligatory-black-host racial humor bugged me a little, but there was enough to like in this episode to give Kevin Hart the credit he deserves. by Erik Voss | March 4th, 2013 What WORKED! Budget Sequester: SNL wisely repeated the full-cast press conference format from last episode's opener in this cold open about the real-world consequences of the looming budget sequester. The spotlight was fixed less on Jay Pharoah's Obama impression as on the government workers explaining the new cuts — border security allowing every 10th Mexican to cross the border, astronauts without glass in their helmets, zookeepers forced to sell horses for meat. I was impressed that every joke hit here, especially Aidy Bryant as the thrilled inner city school teacher: "Good luck reading Beowulf, you monsters!" What BOMBED!!..kinda The RAMBLING Monologue I could have done without Hart's story about his SNL audition and his De Niro impression, but I enjoyed the urban hypochondriac humor in his anecdote about the homeless man at Panera. Some might see his breakneck pace as nervous or impatient, but I was won over by the burst of energy he brought into every segment.  I thought the NEW POPE skit was funny: So what do you guys think? Does Hart only have BET-type HUMOR, or did it translate to a WIDER AUDIENCE?? I think Kevin did fairly well. I'd give him a 'B'.
