| #Drake's 'Nothing Was The Same' Disc DROPS TODAY! Get a TRACK By TRACK REVIEW! [video] Posted: 23 Sep 2013 10:51 PM PDT  1 – Tuscan Leather To be honest, I don't really know what happened here. I blacked out as soon as the beat dropped. I started to come to as the beat switched up and reached for my glass of water but immediately went unconscious. I think Drake may have gotten Meek Mill with the intro of all intros. That soulful sample in the background almost had me crying in my dreams. Drake's discussion of his problems with Nicki Minaj also give us hope that maybe, just maybe one day we'll have a chance. MORE....after the JUMP! 2 – Furthest Thing After recovering from the intro, Drake hits us with a song that has the style of what he's become famous for. He effortlessly transitions between rapping and singing with maybe the catchiest hook on the project besides "Started from the Bottom" and "Going Home". Basically, Drake is saying although he may be emotional, he still has a rebellious side as he's doing everything on the low. Except for making music that makes people want to cry. His appearance on Jimmy Fallon made it evident that he also blinks a lot on the low. 3 – Started from the Bottom When this was released many people questioned the sound as well as the content. Last night made them understand what his intentions were. With a complete project as an aid, "Started from the Bottom" serves as the song to make you jump around your room in your underwear rapping "living at my momma's house we argue every month" as she knocks on your door and asks if you want lunch. 4 – Wu-Tang Forever I'll be honest here, I'm not the biggest fan of the name. It does, however, have a catchy chorus and makes you want to run around saying "it's yours". Be careful who you say it to though. 5 – Own It To be honest, I was still dizzy from the intro and all I heard was "own it". It sounded good though.  6 – Worst Behaviour When this beat came on I thought it was the background music to a mental asylum. Like I was eating moldy mashed potatoes in the mess hall and then this shit comes on. This beat is insane. As if Drake couldn't rap on just normal beats, he had to shit on everyone and show he can rap on ANYTHING you put in front of him. Give this dude a Slipknot song and he'll glide over it. The chorus is absolute vengeance. "Mofuckas never loved us! Remember?" A little bitterness with a hint of swagger sprinkled in, Drake sounds like he used to be the kid picked last on the kickball team and now he's the captain. I think I resonate with this because I used to be picked last also. Well, I wasn't really picked if we're getting specific, my mom would wait in the car to see if anyone chose me and then after 10 minutes she'd usually just drive me home. 7 – From Time You should turn off your phone and deactivate your Facebook before this song because it will make you want to hit up every member of the opposite sex this side of the Lincoln Tunnel Helix. Jhene Aiko can lull me to sleep and Drizzy comes with bars like "She said I'd never be as big as Trey Songz, boy was she wrong". Trey has probably stolen more girls with boyfriends than Drake has but that's neither here nor there. 8 – Hold On, We're Going Home If I ever find a woman who can put up with my sour gummy worm addiction, I'm marrying her and this is going to be my wedding song. This shit makes me want to grow wings and fly away. Like literally levitate and just glide across the floor like Mr. Clean on his head. This not only completely shuts down the club but also will make you whistle and hop on your way to work. 9 – Connect This song makes you want to talk shit for no reason at all. "Same friends, same city if you're looking for me." Try saying that to your boss as you walk out of work. 10 – The Language The man above praised us with a "Versace" like flow from Drizzy and another Birdman outro. "Bank account look like I'm ready for early retirement". Drake's brashness makes you look at your own paystubs and realize how far away you are from even moving out. 11 – 305 to My City The strip club anthem 12 – Too Much This song almost made me cry. Not like the tears you shed when you found out the album leaked or the tears you shed when you get that "heyyy =]" text but real emotional tears from the depth of my soul. I called all of my cousins after this song, told them I love them, and that I'm going to all of their bar mitzvahs. 13 – Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2 The same bitterness Drake exerted in "Worst Behaviour" is exhibited here with his high school classmates. The punchline about his classmates needing security at their school reunion if he showed up almost knocked me off my chair. I guess Drake had it a little rougher in high school. Shit, we all did. Then HOV comes in and just completely talks that shit. As he should. His wife is getting her hair caught in fans and pulled off stage by fans and continuing the show like she just stubbed her toe. 14 – Come Thru Instead of sending that text at 3AM, just send this song as a voice note. Make it the ringtone when that person calls and your text message alert during flood watches. 15 – All Me The ultimate shit talking anthem that's been out for so long I'm getting tired just typing about… Well, there you have it. If you didn't listen yet and was wondering how the new Drake album is, here ya go. Just do me a favor if you listen to it. He's had a guest spot on "The Office," starred in "Pacific Rim" and will appear in this fall's "Thor: The Dark World." He's also set to play iconic South African leader Nelson Mandela in "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" and is currently filming "The Gunman" with Sean Penn and Javier Bardem in Madrid. But that's just his resume. The Golden Globe-winning actor, who also DJs, opens up about some DARK TIMES from his past in the October spread for GQ magazine. "All those black comedians, they knew me as a doorman." He doesn't have a traditional home and barely sees his 11-year-old daughter. She lives in Atlanta with his ex-wife. He usually just meets up with his daughter in hotel rooms or temporary spaces. He never had a son. "The celebration of having a son — from a man's perspective, it's massive," Elba said regarding 2010 reports that he was excitedly talking about his son with a girlfriend he had in Florida. That is, only to find out that the boy wasn't his. "It wasn't immediately obvious — well, it was, because he didn't look like me. But it wasn't immediately obvious what had gone down." He said the experience was surprisingly "freeing." "You know, the truth is — like, even admitting it, I'll probably get laughed at for the rest of my life. A woman is DEAD after a dispute on Facebook! A West Side woman killed another woman at a Homan Square gas station last month after the two had a fight on Facebook, authorities said today. Khalila Southall, 30, is charged with first-degree murder in the Aug. 26 shooting death of Lakeisha Tate, 28, at a gas station at 3357 W. Harrison St., according to police and prosecutors. Southall was arrested Sept. 3 in Rochester, Minn., on a murder warrant in the case, after fleeing there soon after the shooting, according to prosecutors and Rochester police. In a hearing sSeptember 19, Southall was ordered held without bail. Tate, of the 300 block of South Hamlin Avenue, was inside the gas station about 1:40 p.m. Aug. 26 and tried to walk out after buying something when Southall confronted her, assistant state's attorney Joe Crocker said in a bond hearing today. The two began to fight in a doorway to the store, and as they were fighting on the ground, Southall pulled out a handgun and shot Tate, prosecutors said. Several witnesses were only feet from the two women when the shooting took place, and it was captured on video from multiple angles, prosecutors said. Tate, who had been shot in the leg and torso, and left lying on the floor of the gas station, was taken to John H.Stroger Jr. Hospital, where she was declared dead at 5 a.m. on Aug. 27. When Southall fled, she left behind an identification card. Police found two .25-caliber shell casings at the scene, and later found a .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun at Southall's boyfriend's home. At the home, investigators also found a red dress that matched that Southall was seen wearing in the surveillance video. Investigators were able to obtain a warrant for Southall's arrest, and when she was taken into custody in Rochester, they travelled there to interview her on Sept. 5. Southall, of the 900 block of South Lawndale Avenue, told detectives that she and Tate had had a previous dispute on Facebook, and that they did not like each other. Prosecutors did not say what started the Facebook feud. Southall also admitted to fighting Tate at the gas station and to having a handgun the day of the shooting. Multiple eyewitnesses identified Southall as the shooter after she was brought back to Chicago. In court today, Southall's defense attorney said she lives with her grandmother and is on disability. Rapper Trina collapsed EARLY this morning moments after stepping of an airplane into a Florida airport. The rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital where she is being treated for dehydration and overexertion! The rapper had been traveling extensively and also had been battling an unknown sickness prior to her collapse. Trina posted an INSTAGRAM PHOTO from the hospital with the words: "Thanks for your concern and prayers! I'm ok, just ready to leave this place I hate needles,"  We are glad Trina is on the mend. The GLADIATORS were up in arms saying Kerry Washington should have won and that she was 'ROBBED' and so on and so FORTH. Her 'Scandal' co-star even chimed in on the debate saying:  Robbed. Robbed I tell you. ROBBED. @kerrywashington is without question the MOST OUTSTANDING. Well see you next year Emmys. @scandalabc But WHO REALLY expected her to win besides the GLADIATORS? Washington was up against some PRETTY STIFF COMPETITION and GLADIATORS get out of your feelings here, yes 'Scandal' is a great show, but it's still YOUNG! Connie Britton, Claire Danes, Michelle Dockery, Vera Farmiga, Elisabeth Moss, and Robin Wright coming from HUGE SHOWS like Homeland, Mad Men, and Downton Abbey,or series that CAME OUT THE GATES with ACCLAIM like House Of Cards and Bates Motel was just too HUGE of a 'HURDLE' for her to conquer NOW. Maybe down the line she may, but at this point, NOT YET. 'Scandal' wasn't even NOMINATED for best drama series, so the chances that Washington would have a chance at the LEAD ACTRESS nod gets even slimmer. It happens ever now and again that an actress would win the Lead Actress Emmy when her show was nominated in the case of Kyra Sedgwick in 2010, winning for The Closer, which wasn't nominated in the Best Drama Series category. But these instances are few and far between. Some can argue that 'Scandal' should've been NOMINATED for best drama, but again, CABLE shows seem to DOMINATE this category so again, the odds get STEEPER! So 'GLADIATORS' keep watching and keep supporting so that 'Scandal' can get into the ranks of 'Breakin Bad' and 'Mad Men' and the likes!
