[video] Posted: 29 Apr 2013 11:00 PM PDT 'Jenny from the Block' maybe returning to her judging chair at 'American Idol' if the RUMORS are true.  Seeing Mariah on 'Idol' somewhat LESSENS her appeal to some degree...so putting the 'porcelain doll' back on the shelf is not a FAR-FETCHED idea. We just want to look at Mariah and listen to her SING--not see her water down her brand by 'judging' others on a reality show. Extra caught up with Jenny from The Block and ASKED her if there were any TRUTH to the RUMORS of an 'Idol' return. She had an interesting answer, or NON-ANSWER depending on how you interpret it. CHECK it out: Hmmm, what did you think of JLo's NON-ANSWER? I mean, she didn't COUNT OUT the possibility of returning. She could have EASILY shut the rumors down by saying 'NO, there is no TRUTH to the rumors.' But she did not. I think JLO is keeping her OPTIONS open. | Celebs REACT to #JasonCollins COMING OUT! Most in PRAISE some NOT SO MUCH! [details] Posted: 29 Apr 2013 11:00 PM PDT  Jason Collins, who played for the Celtics and the Wizards this past season opened up about his sexuality yesterday. In an essay for 'Sports Illustrated' Collins says: "I didn't set out to be the first openly gay athlete playing in a major American team sport," he wrote. "But since I am, I'm happy to start the conversation...." With his announcement, Collins became the first active, openly gay athlete in major professional team sports. In a statement released Monday regarding Collins' announcement, NBA commissioner David Stern showed support for the decision, saying, "Jason has been a widely respected player and teammate throughout his career, and we are proud he has assumed the leadership mantle on this very important issue."  Collins has played 12 seasons in the NBA. In 2012-13, he played 32 games with the Boston Celtics and six with the Washington Wizards. Social Media sites like TWITTER were set ABLAZE with reactions to Collin's 'coming out'. Doc Rivers, who coached Collins this season when he was with the Celtics, told SI he hoped the announcement was a turning point for the NBA. NFL free agent Brendon Ayanbadejo, who authored a piece on gay rights in sports last week for FOXSports.com, applauded Collins: By @ jasoncollins34 opening doors & doing it his way on his time he has helped shape a more accepting America. I'm black. And I'm gay.  In the May edition of 'Sports Illustrated' Collins discusses his descion to COME OUT! I didn't set out to be the first openly gay athlete playing in a major American team sport. But since I am, I'm happy to start the conversation. I wish I wasn't the kid in the classroom raising his hand and saying, "I'm different." If I had my way, someone else would have already done this. Nobody has, which is why I'm raising my hand. My journey of self-discovery and self-acknowledgement began in my hometown of Los Angeles and has taken me through two state high school championships, the NCAA Final Four and the Elite Eight, and nine playoffs in 12 NBA seasons.   Now I'm a free agent, literally and figuratively. I've reached that enviable state in life in which I can do pretty much what I want. And what I want is to continue to play basketball. I still love the game, and I still have something to offer. My coaches and teammates recognize that. At the same time, I want to be genuine and authentic and truthful. Michael Jordan tied the knot to long-time girfriend, Yvette Prieto in a LAVISH wedding in Palm Springs over the weekend! According to reports, the wedding festivities were held in Palm Beach, Fla. in front of 500 people at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, and an additional 1500 joined them for the reception at a nearby golf club community. The RECEPTION was over the top EXTRAVAGANCE with a performance from USHER and entertainment from MC Lyte, Robin Thicke and 'Out on the Ocean' singer, K'Jon all under a SPRAWLING 40,000-square foot WHITE TENT!!     1500 MORE guests joined the couple for the reception. [details] Posted: 29 Apr 2013 02:47 AM PDT  Hmmm, who saw this one coming, but Chris Brown's father, Clinton Brown is very vocally AGAINST Rihanna and Chris dating! SAY WHAT? You will remember that in light of RiRi and Chris Brown's n 2009 DOMESTIC SITUATION , Rihanna's father has all but FORGIVEN Chris. But it appears that the sentiments are not SHARED by Chis' dad.  See what REMARKS he made about the union and who he wished Chris would date! Hint- she's a SINGER as well....mind you, Clinton Brown has been out of Chris' life since he split from his mom when Brown was 6. (Might that have something to do with Chris' anger issues? Hmm.. another story for another day.) DETAILS after the JUMP! Clinton Brown speaking to NY DAILY: "I personally really didn't want him and Rihanna back together," said Clinton Brown, 48. "You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical. I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse— I mean I could go on and on! Is that a given — that you can't have fortune and fame without (death) being the end result?" On why he thinks Chris loves Rihanna: "Sometimes you just need that person who will listen to you without judging, who knows what it feels like. If he talks to someone who's not in the business they may not understand." On who he'd rather see Chris dating: "I personally liked Jordin Sparks. She's a wholesome young lady, very pretty." Hmm, interesting comments from Daddy Brown, but I am sure the duo will do what they want to with little regard to these statements from an absentee father. Also, Jordin Sparks for Chris? Well you may remember the two DID work on 'No Air' and Sparks admits to have had a little on-set 'crush' on Brown back then, but Brown rebuffed the crush.  He later went on to say that Sparks was a nice girl, but in so many words, she was 'TOO FAT' for his taste. Looking at Jordin Sparks now, I BET Chris would not think that today!
