Find out WHY!?[details] Posted: 30 May 2014 04:35 PM PDT I thought the show was pushing IMPRESSIVE numbers, but CBS has seen it differently and has PULLED THE PLUG on 'The Arsenio Hall Show'!!!! FIND OUT WHY!? "The Arsenio Hall Show" has stopped production, marking an abrupt end to the host's efforts to restart his latenight franchise in syndication.  CBS said in a statement: "Unfortunately, 'The Arsenio Hall Show' will not return for a second season; while there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue. Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we'd like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show. We'd also like to thank Tribune and all our station group partners for their support of the show." The revived show, a joint production of CBS and Tribune, started out with promise last September but could not maintain its early momentum and struggled with guest bookings. Staffers were floored by the news that was announced in the afternoon at the show's office on the Sunset Bronson studio lot that is home to Tribune's KTLA, which carried the show in L.A. The news came as a shock because CBS and Tribune had previously committed to a second year of the show. Jay Leno even made a special visit to the show to announce the season two pickup, his first TV appearance after exiting "The Tonight Show" in February. ( Source:) This is not good! [video] Posted: 30 May 2014 12:21 AM PDT It appears the INK has DRIED on the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers franchise from Shelly Sterling to Steve Ballmer!!! The Sterling family trust has signed an agreement to sell the Los Angeles Clippers to former Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer for $2 billion, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. The agreement was signed Thursday and was sent straight to the NBA for final approval, sources said. Banned Clippers owner Donald Sterling, 80, recently was found by experts to be mentally incapacitated, allowing his wife, Shelly Sterling, to become the sole trustee and giving her the power to deal directly with Ballmer under guidelines previously established in the Sterling family trust, sources told Shelburne and ESPN's Darren Rovell. The rules of the trust did not require a court hearing first to declare Donald Sterling is in that state.  Donald Sterling's lawyer, Max Blecher, did not return messages asking for comment. Earlier in the day, Blecher said in an e-mail to ESPN that his client had not signed off on the sale. ESPN reported earlier Thursday that Ballmer's $2 billion bid was the highest submitted, topping those from groups led by music mogul David Geffen ($1.6 billion) and L.A. investors Tony Ressler and Steve Karsh ($1.2 billion). Geffen confirmed to ESPN on Thursday night that his group had formally withdrawn from the bidding. Shelly Sterling had pushed to negotiate a sale before Tuesday's NBA Board of Governors meeting at which both of the Sterlings' ownership interests could be terminated, while Donald Sterling had vowed to fight the league's attempts to force a sale. Donald Sterling's attorney sent a 32-page response to the league this past Tuesday, but the rebuttal did not address Sterling's mental capacity as part of his defense.
