Kayla Phillips, 21, was stopped by police in February at the 59th St. and Lexington Ave. subway station after purchasing a Céline handbag from Barneys at 61st St. and Madison Ave. Four plainclothes cops accused a black woman of credit card fraud after the Brooklyn mom bought a $2,500 designer bag from Barneys — stoking a fresh round of outrage against the high-end store. [video] Posted: 23 Oct 2013 10:50 PM PDT  The 'NEW ERA' got off to a DELAYED start, but it appears that vocal SIREN, Mariah Carey is paced to FINALLY grace the fans with NEW MUSIC! The singer is set to release a new single, "The Art of Letting Go," on November 11. She tells CNN in an interview that this is one track she can relate to "on every level."  "As a songwriter, I never like to be too totally specific, because I like people to be able to make it about their own life experiences," Carey said. "(But) there is an art to learning how to let go of things in your life, people in your life, things that are not good for you. Whatever the case may be." MORE FROM Mariah after the JUMP! At the moment, Carey's focused on letting go of the lingering pain from a recent injury. In July, the singer took a nasty fall on the set of a music video, dislocating her shoulder among other things. "I fell off something very high, and I dislocated my shoulder, fractured my shoulder, (and) fractured the rib area," Carey said. "It just requires a lot of physical therapy, but I'm like 90 to 95 percent there." For her new single, the star collaborated with producer Rodney Jerkins and created "The Art of Letting Go" through what Carey describes as an organic process. The result, she said, is a song that goes back to her roots. Yesterday, Apple revealed new products including a new Mavericks operating system, speedier Macbook Pros and new iPads, including the one pound iPad Air. The new gadgets were unveiled at a product event in San Francisco by Apple CEO Tim Cook.  Apple Inc. on Tuesday unveiled a Retina iPad Mini and the iPad Air, a thinner, faster full-size iPad that Apple executives said was innovative enough to "deserve a new name." The new device weighs 1 pound and runs on Apple's new A7 chip, said Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple. "This is a screaming fast iPad," Schiller said, adding that graphics will be 72-times faster than the orginal iPad. "It's our biggest leap foward in an iPad." It will come in silver, white, space gray and black and will start at $499. With cellular capabilities, it will run $629. They will ship Nov. 1. The iPad Mini will be available in the same colors and start at $399, with cellular versions available for $529. Apple also announced it will add a Retina display faster chips to its iPad Mini. Yeezy proposed to Kim on her 33rd borthday in GRAND FASHION! He rented out the entire AT&T baseball stadium in San Francisco, whisked her up there, blindfolded her and had Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" playing when she arrived by an ORCHESTRA!! Now TAKE THAT Jay-Z!!  And of course he had to PRESENT her with an ENGAGEMENT RING, and a FINE ONE at that-- a 15 carat SPARKLER from from Lorraine Schwartz!!  YOU MAY RECALL that Kris Humphries also presented Kim with a ring from Lorraine Schwartz as well for their 72 day marriage. Humphries, however TRUMPED Kanye's ring. His sparkler was set with a 16.21-carat diamond and flanked on both sides with a trapeze-cut diamond, each weighing an additional 1.80 carats. That puts Humphries' ring at almost 20 carats. So KRIS BEATS YEEZy in this one, but at least Kanye STILL HAS THE GIRL... Kris doesn't even still have the ring.  Kris just sold the ring at auction for over $600,000. WHO'S WINNING????? This is all grand and NICE. But for people that BALK at the paparazzi, they sure do know how to keep their names out there. All this POMP and CIRCUMSTANCE, and posting photos on SOCIAL MEDIA for an engagement.
