[video] Posted: 12 Oct 2013 11:14 AM PDT  Less than three months after he was arrested for assaulting a police officer at the University of Chicago, 26-year-old "MasterChef" finalist Josh Marks was found fatally shot Friday night of an apparent suicide, authorities said. Police responded to a call of a body found at 6:45 p.m. Friday in the 9700 block of South Peoria Avenue in the city's Longwood Manor neighborhood and found Marks lying face up on the ground, unresponsive and bleeding from the head. Fire department personnel were already there. The victim, of the South Side, was pronounced dead at 6:37 p.m. on the scene, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office. Marks suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and a revolver was found near his body. Police said an acquaintance and two relatives of the victim were on the scene and one of the relatives told police that the victim suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and he was distraught about something, police said. The 'Preachers of L.A.' premiere touched 1.1 MILLION viewers in it's DEBUT setting the HIGHEST RATED Wednesday night show for Oxygen's history!! You see the the CARS, the MANSIONS and the GLORY...but now you get to see their STORIES and each MINISTER here has a STORY to share and a few to SPARE!! It examines the CHURCH and what some deem as 'RIGHT' and WRONG' in the eyes of the Lord and in the eyes of the WORSHIPPERS and NAYSAYERS!!! Bravo may have the HOUSEWIVE'S thing on LOCK, but Oxygen is really ON to somthing HERE.. The 'housewives' aint got NOTHING on these PREACHERS!! Watch the PREMIERE here...UNINTERRUPTED!! There are FIREWORKS and a WHOLE LOT of DRAMA on and off the PULPIT!! WOW..... Looking at this made me see the MEGA CHURCH thing in a DIFFERENT LIGHT. These PREACHERS are living WELL off the backs of their TESTIMONIES and TRIBULATIONS and the good they do i the community. BUT SOME may have other motives that are going to COME TO LIGHT at the lens of these cameras. Just wait to see which ones are TRUE to the WORD and which are true to the 'GAME'. I'll save my commentary on THAT one for now....   |
