Shabazz Napier turned in another all-court masterpiece Monday night to lift the Huskies to a 60-54 win over Kentucky's freshmen and bring home a championship hardly anyone saw coming."You're looking at the hungry Huskies," Napier told the crowd and TV audience as confetti rained down. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens when you banned us." The senior guard had 22 points, six rebounds and three assists, and his partner in defensive lock-down, Ryan Boatright, finished with 14 points. The victory comes only a short year after the Huskies were barred from March Madness because of grades problems. That stoked a fire no one could put out in 2014. Napier kneeled down and put his forehead to the court for a long while after the buzzer sounded. He was wiping back tears when he cut down the net. "I see my guys enjoying it," Napier said. One of the most BELOVED CHILD STARS, Mickey Rooney passed away on yesterday of natural causes. The 5'2 Rooney was 93!  He was one of the most famous child actors in entertainment history. He played the role of Andy Hardy in more than a dozen classic MGM films.Rooney was the last surviving star of Hollywood's 1930s Golden Age, a performer always ready to make an appearance when there was a crowd waiting to applaud. In the final innocent prewar years of 1939, 1940 and 1941, he was the country's biggest box-office attraction. Rooney died in California, the Los Angeles County Coroner's office said. Rooney's career spanned almost the entire history of motion pictures. He made his first film, the silent "Not to Be Trusted," in 1926 and followed it up with several shorts based on the "Mickey McGuire" comic strip. He was still making movies nine decades later, including "Night at the Museum" (2006) and "The Muppets" (2011). At the time of his death, he had three more films in the works, according to the Internet Movie Database, including a version of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" with Margaret O'Brien. Four young lives PERISH after leaving a birthday celebration in NYC over the weekend.   21-year-old Darius Fletcher.(left) 20- year old Jaleel Furtado (right) A car packed with five young friends who were leaving a birthday party in Queens Friday night hit a curb and flipped into a creek, trapping and killing four passengers, authorities said. The driver escaped serious injury and called 911, telling responding officers that the passengers were trapped in the underwater car, the NYPD said in a statement.  The 20-year-old driver identified by sources as Andrew Gramm, escaped the Honda Accord and called 911, but his four pals — Jaleel Furtado,20, Darius Fletcher, 21, the birthday girl, Crystal Gravely, 19, and another woman, Jada Monique Butts,19, — all died after rescue divers pulled them from the submerged car. Gramm who was in stable condition, said he and his four passengers had left a party nearby when his car hopped the curb on a dead-end street in Astoria and plunged into Steinway Creek, off the East River, at around 10:35 p.m. Divers from the FDNY had to break the car's windows to pull out the two men and two women who were trapped, officials said. The women and one of the men were pronounced dead at Elmhurst General Hospital, and the other man was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.  The four who died were all from East Elmhurst and between the ages of 19 and 21: Darius Fletcher, Jada Monique Butts, Crystal Gravely and Jaleel Furtado.  Several of the victims' family members visited the scene Saturday morning. The sobbing stepmother of one was comforted by police. Police did not immediately identify the driver. Police said early Saturday the investigation was continuing but that the driver had been given and passed a breathalyzer test. The roads were also wet Friday night, and investigators are looking into whether that may have caused the accident. Police visited a car service business that has security cameras trained in the direction the car would have been going in hopes of learning the vehicle's speed in the seconds before it crashed. The deaths shook residents of East Elmhurst, the working-class neighborhood of brick row houses where all four victims lived within two blocks of each other. Susan Martinez, who lives across the street from the home of Crystal Gravely, said the four longtime friends had gone out to celebrate what would have been Gravely's 20th birthday Saturday. "They were all friends and they went to church and they all had jobs," Martinez said. "That's how they grew up." Martinez watched as Gravely's father stepped out of his house and walked slowly to the backyard without speaking to anyone. "He hasn't taken it in yet--that his only child will never be back," Martinez said. Hairdresser Sheila Ortiz said both of the young women got their hair done at her salon, and she had known them since they were little girls. "Those kids were very happy," Ortiz said. Todd CONFRONTS Momma Joyce, Porsha is ready for her CLOSE-UP...or is she? And Kenya LOSES a FAMILY MEMBER!!! Let's DIVE RIGHT IN! via: StraightfromtheA.com SO.... LET'S START THIS THING OFF RIGHT! PORSHA WILLIAMS... this is OBVIOUSLY just drama needed for the show, because if there is an UNDERSTUDY for a PERFORMER on a stageplay, and the UNDERSTUDY is BETTER than the the lead...GUESS WHO GETS THE PART? Kandi should've DITCHED her awhile ago and kept it moving. MORE of my REVIEW.... Peter and Cynthia seem to be in the SAME BOAT as they were 2 years ago. Peter seems to always want to keep her in the DARK when it comes to their FINANCES. In a marriage, you can't do that... IT DOES'NT WORK, usually. AND let's talk Todd and Momma Joyce. We know Kandi and Todd WED this past Friday, so all is well NOW. But when Todd CONFRONTED Momma Joyce and when we hear her story with the couselor, don't we understand her a bit better now. It took 20 some odd episodes before Bravo decided to make her 'HUMAN'. NOW WE GET IT. Momma Joyce lost a child at the age an EARLY AGE. No parent wants to OUTLIVE their child. Can you imagine how HARD that has to be for her. SO NOW we see why she is some protective over Kandi and her best interests. I get it now. She isn't as mean as painted to be. She CARES DEEPLY for her daughter and wants the best for her. BUT OF COURSE we don't get a CLEAR PICTURE of her until now. OTHERWISE it would;ve been BORING any other way. WE GET IT BRAVO..good job of CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT...kinda. Now Todd was talking to her KINDA CRAZY. We understand there had been tensions between the two, but he STILL has to RESPECT his elders. He was talking to her like one of his HOMIES... And last but not least KENYA. At first glance we felt so sad for her losing her dog Velvet. It appeared that she REALLY LOVED that animal and it gave a HUMAN -SIDE to her as well. BUT some say that this was just another PLOT TWIST devised by the Bravo producers to give some SUBSTANCE to her 'story'. I don't know... but her tears seemed GENUINE...kinda. And wasn't it kinda good that PHAEDRA and APOLLO were all but ABSENT from this episode! HMMM.. IJS. SOOOOOO, one more EPISODE before the BIG FINALE.. and heads up BRAVO is REALLY going to DRAW this reunion out... just giving you the HEADS UP now because you WILL be FRUSTRATED.
