[details] Posted: 25 Apr 2014 03:13 PM PDT  It was pretty clear what Shonda Rhimes and the crew at 'Scandal' had in mind for 'Harrison' played by Columbus Short since season 1. The WRITING was on the wall. Columbus Short will NOT be returning for season 4! Short released this statement via his publicist: "At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank [creator] Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful." In the season 3 finale, Harrison's future was left unknown, as reinstated B613 head Rowan (Joe Morton) and his Secret Service henchman held him at gunpoint in the final minutes. I don't follow the show, but when they write in something like this, it's pretty evident what your fate is.  Rumors are SWIRLING that Short's OFF-SCREEN run-in's with the law and domestic problems is what prompted them to AXE the star that has been with the series since it's inception. Although not CONFIRMED, we are sure those issues played apart in the demise of Harrison. A juggernaut show such as 'Scandal' does not want it's name TARNISHED by the off-camera antics of its stars, I'm sure. We will keep an EYE on this story. I am sure Shonda has a TWIST and a new character in the wings waiting to make an entrance. 'Scandal' returns this Fall to ABC. www.TheGamutt.com  |

More PARTICULARLY , the dust-off between Porsha & Kenya. Some critics say that that was not even a fight worth showing, but as I predicted, Bravo did not show us ALL OF the FOOTAGE! TMZ caught up with Kandi at LAX where she talked about the incident. Kandi says the fight was far WORSE than what we saw! See what she had to say and more after the JUMP! The OUTRAGE came when critics deemed the video racists to ASIANS! The video was pulled from YouTube recently--sources say because it was released 'early', but some say that it was due to the CONTROVERSY. Nonetheless, Japan appears to LIKE the video and don't find it RACIST at all...according to the Japan Embassy in Washington, DC. Check the VIDEO for yourself after the jump and see that the Japanese Embassy had to say. According to the Japanese Embassy,they believe Avril "had only good intentions when making the video." The spokesman added that they "would be happy if the discussions surrounding her song and music video results in more people discovering the beautiful and rich culture of Japan." Fast food juggernaut 'McDonalds' announced Wednesday that Ronald would be getting a MAKEOVER to be more HIP and NOW, and would also be joining SOCIAL MEDIA!!!! Get the DETAILS after the JUMP! McDonald's announced Wednesday that Ronald will now sport mustard yellow cargo pants and a red and white striped rugby shirt topped by a sleeveless yellow zip-up jacket. For "special occasions," there's a red bowtie and blazer with his signature on the back. His hair is a little tighter too. But those big red boots remain the same. While he won't get his own Twitter account, the clown will interact with social media users on existing McDonald's accounts using the hashtag #RonaldMcDonald.  "Selfies ...here I come!" the spokescharacter was quoted in McDonald's announcement as saying. "It's a big world and now, wherever I go and whatever I do...I'm ready to show how fun can make great things happen."The new wardrobe comes weeks after rival Taco Bell used twenty-five real men named Ronald McDonald in their ads to promote their new morning menu. The ads showed the Ronald McDonalds eating Taco Bell breakfast and "loving it." The press release also notes that the makeover will extend to the McDonalds restaurants. Franchise owners will have the chance to "incorporate revamped in-store graphics, furniture" and other elements that feature Ronald McDonald. Advertisements will also soon feature the revamped clown. McDonald's said Tuesday that first quarter profit fell 5 percent and sales at stores open at least a year edged down 1.7 percent. So if you see #RonaldMcDonald trending soon--don't be TOO surprised.
