| 1st Listen: #Drake- 'Started From The Bottom' [audio] Posted: 01 Feb 2013 10:26 PM PST  We reported yesterday that Drake was planning to release his new single on Grammy night. BUT WE DON'T LIKE TO WAIT on the EXCLUSIVES... so here it goes. If you were wondering what Drizzy has been working on--here's your 1st LISTEN of, 'Started From The Bottom'!!!! Drake also shared a LETTER to his FANS from his OVO Blog: "I feel sometimes that people don't have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn't consistent with actual events," he wrote. "I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I'm excited for this song to find a place in your life as well." The Mike Zombie-produced single (the first from Drake's upcoming LP) begins with a dreary piano loop before the rapper begins his chant, which is backed by steady war drums. "Started from the bottom now we here/ Started from the bottom now the whole team here," he bellows in a deeper more menacing tone than we are used to hearing from the usually smooth rapper. Coincidentally just a few days after his highly publicized brawl with R&B crooner Chris Brown, Frank Ocean's album Channel Orange is certified Gold for sales of 500,000 copies by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). | Former NY Mayor #EdKoch DEAD at 88! Posted: 01 Feb 2013 11:48 AM PST  One of the most prolific and popular mayor's in New York history has passed away. Former NY mayor, Ed Koch died early this morning--he was 88. Koch had been hospitalized earlier this month for a lung ailment. He was also hospitalized last September for anemia and battled pneumonia last December.  Koch died of congestive heart failure at about 2 a.m. at New York-Presbyterian hospital following a year of repeated hospitalizations, George Arzt, his spokesman, said. Koch was credited with lifting New York from crushing economic crises to a level of prosperity that was the envy of other U.S. cities. Under his leadership, the city regained its financial footing and underwent a building renaissance. Mayor Michael Bloomberg called Koch a quintessential New Yorker and one of the city's great mayors. "In elected office and as a private citizen, he was our most tireless, fearless, and guileless civic crusader," Bloomberg said. "His spirit will live on not only here at City Hall, and not only on the bridge the bears his name, but all across the five boroughs."  (source) R.I.P. Late last night, a photo hit the web of Weezy sporting what looked like a cropped cut! Wayne is in his hometown for the Super Bowl festivities. BUT..what You SEE is not always WHAT YOU GET... LOOK CLOSELY after the jump!  If you LOOK at the back of his head, you will CLEARLY what LOOKS like a PONY TAIL..... SO what you THOUGHT was a cropped hair cut it just NAPS! Having had locks, I know the phenomenon. If you do not touch your roots up, it will APPEAR as if you have an AFRO... but Wayne clearly has not CHOPPED his LOCKS OFF!!!
