Ex San Francisco 49'er Kwame Harris faces felony domestic violence and assault charges from an August beating involving a former boyfriend,Dimitri Geier! GET THE REST of the INFO after the JUMP!!!! Following a pretrial hearing in the case Monday, a San Mateo County judge set a late April trial date for Harris, an offensive tackle who played five seasons with the 49ers and one season with the Oakland Raiders, Assistant District Attorney Al Serrato said.  Although a handful of former NFL players have come out as gay, none has while still wearing a uniform. Defense lawyer Alin Cintean said Harris, who played for Stanford before he was drafted by the 49ers in 2003 and has gone back to school to finish his undergraduate degree, identifies as gay, but "is not very public about it." Prosecutors are pursuing the domestic violence charge because the two men used to live together and had an on-again, off-again romantic relationship, Serrato said. "Whenever we move forward with charges, it's because we believe the evidence is sufficient," Serrato said. "Certainly the injuries are consistent with a serious assault." Harris has pleaded not guilty and posted $75,000 bail after his arrest, Cintean said. Harris acknowledges he and Geier once were a couple, but says he struck Geier in self-defense, Cintean said.  "Mr. Geier first assaulted my client, and my client had a reasonable response to being assaulted," he said. "Unfortunately, Mr. Geier is the one who ended up with an injury." (source) WELL.. | *Updated* #RickRoss ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT!?? Crashes #RollsRoyce! [details] Posted: 28 Jan 2013 10:47 AM PST  Was their and ASSASSINATION attempt of rapper Rick Ross earlier today? Well 'assassination' may be too GRAND a word, but someone definitely was SHOOTING at the MMG lieutenant!  Ross might be the target of an investigation involving a shooting incident and car crash in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Police are looking into what caused a Rolls Royce, driven by Ross, to go crashing into a building early Monday morning. According to NBC Miami, Ross sped away as another vehicle opened fire at his car, sending it off the road.  Several witnesses claimed they saw Ross driving the silver 2011 Rolls Royce, but police are still looking for the shooter and driver in the other car, which they say fled the area before officers arrived. (source) Sources are hoping that security cameras that were taping during the incident can shed some light on what happened and aid in capturing the gunman involved. The authorities are reviewing those tapes as we speak.  Seems like the rappers are trying live out the tales and stories they rap about in real life. But in this instance, the BULLETS are real! I think it must be something about the Grammy's that makes Chris want to go HIT PEOPLE! There maybe a connection there. Someone needs to look into that. When it gets close to the Grammy's Chris Brown goes APE SHIT on people.... But I digress.  Deputies responding to a report of six men fighting Sunday night outside of a Los Angeles recording studio found the scene clear, but were told by witnesses that there had been a brief fight over a parking space. "The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim," the department said in a statement released early Monday morning.  The 'victim' was alter identified as Frank Ocean! Frank Ocean later tweeted:  Frank seems OK and seem to take the situation LIGHT by the tone of the TWEET. Chris on the other hand maybe in HOT WATER. Isn't he still on probation?? Seems like Chris Brown is always trying to fight somebody! According to TMZ, Breezy and Frankie got into a brawl outside of Westlake Studios in Los Angeles this weekend over a parking space!!! As Chris Brown was leaving, he noticed he was blocked in by one of Frank Ocean's entourage. Chris attempted to personally handle the situation by calmly walking over to Frank to talk to him, but he didn't quite make it that far, getting CLOCKED by one of Frank's crew in the process. [new details] Posted: 28 Jan 2013 09:49 AM PST  The release of T.I.'s new album last month, Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, also saw the expiration of the contract with his label home Atlantic Records. Yep, so that means right now Tip is a free agent in the hip hop world. Apparently, T.I. knows his worth -- or at least he THINKS he does -- because he proposed his OWN $75 million record deal for any label who wants to sign him. It's been over a month and let's just say, we're still hearing *crickets*. His self-constructed deal asks for 3 albums, 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film and TV rights, corporate endorsement deals, as well as exclusive signing of all the artists on his Grand Hustle imprint. Right… so not only do they have to take HIM, they gotta take his artists too? Are there actually any other artists on Grand Hustle right now anyway? LOL… GET MORE of T.I.'s DEMANDS and DETAILS after the JUMP!   So far, T.I. has reportedly been in talks with Dr. Dre about joining Interscope, with Jay-Z about joining RocNation, Sony reportedly only offered him a "mere" $50 million, and he was supposed to meet with Universal Records execs this past week. No word yet on how or even if that transpired. In T.I.'s mind, he is in high demand but coincidentally Atlantic Records isn't begging him to stay. Last year before his contract expired, T.I. maintains that the label thought so highly of his opinion that they consulted him before making their decision to appoint rapper Young Jeezy as the senior vice president of A&R. He told them that he thought Jeezy was a good fit but as for himself, he wouldn't entertain doing it because when's he's not working on his own music, he'd have to be doing movies or other things. He just couldn't provide his undivided attention to something like that. Okay, that's nice and all but the thing is, they never even considered T.I. for the position; they only asked his OPINION #womp womp! I personally think T.I. needs to humble himself and lower his price tag. T.I. is an extraordinary artist, but his album sales don't warrant a $75 million paycheck, not to mention what label wants to risk throwing away $75 million if they can't keep their artist out of prison? All of his albums for Atlantic have been certified platinum (with the exception of Paper Trail, which went double platinum and No Mercy which only went gold), but I'm sure that before they fork over those kinds of coins, they want someone who will consistently deliver. That's Mariah, Janet, Beyonce, and Jay-Z money! We hope you get that call soon, Tip.  Ohh..
