[pics] Posted: 27 Jan 2013 05:31 PM PST  The Screen Actor's Guild Awards is well underway, and "Skyfall" and the fantasy series "Game of Thrones" have picked up prizes for best stunt work from the Screen Actors Guild. The stunt honors were announced Sunday on the red carpet before the official SAG Awards ceremony, as stars were gathering for their guild's big night. JoBeth Williams and Scott Bakula announced the winners, noting the value of stunt players, who often are overlooked for their contributions to film and television. "The stunt men and women of our union are critical to the work that gets done," Bakula said. "They keep us healthy, they keep us alive, they keep us working. The top of the week saw her BLAZE the Inaugural stage, but that lit a FIRESTORM of debate. The debate surrounded if she actually SANG or if she 'PHONED IT IN' by lip syncing. The debate in wound up in POLITICAL FORUMS for discussion! Yes, the politicians even weighed in on on the 'scandal'. Bey, who is BUSY in New Orleans prepping for her MUCH-Talked about Super Bowl half-time show, has been MUM on the topic until NOW? It appears that Beyonce has ADDRESSED the SCANDAL!!  Last night, Beyoncé posted a photo to her Instagram account, wearing a shirt with the caption "Can I Live"?-- The phrase, which comes from a popular track from hubby's Jay-Z classic album, 'Reasonable Doubt' Could this be a SLICK response to the criticism she's received since the performance. While it's possible the photo is nothing more than a means to pay homage to her husband, it serves as a tasteful approach to telling her critics to back off.  LOL. | The #Honda #BOB2013- Battle of the Bands INVADED Atlanta! #Brandy 'Put it Down'! [pics/video] Posted: 27 Jan 2013 10:55 AM PST I am SO SORRY for the fans and alumni missed the 2013 Honda Battle of the Bands on yesterday! The Georgia Dome was ROCKING as if the Falcons were playing!!  The unparalleled pageantry, musicianship and camaraderie of the HBCU marching band experience was on full display with spirited performances by Albany State University, Alcorn State University, Bethune-Cookman University, Edward Waters College, Jackson State University, North Carolina A&T University, Tennessee State University and Winston-Salem State University.   Additionally, fans helped amp up the "house party" theme in two dance contests presented by official presenting sponsor, Verizon Wireless: one for individual fans to show off their best moves on the Georgia Dome field; the other for couples who wanted to dance in an iconic "Soul Train" line-style contest. And if that wasn't enough, Grammy-winning recording artist, actress, Brandy LIT up the stage with some of her classics that included, "What about Us", "Full Moon", and her new hits, "Wildest Dreams" and the Bangladesh-produced, 'Put it Down'!   (Brandy & Hit Producer, Bangladesh before she RIPPED the stage) "The Honda Battle of the Bands not only provides a national stage to showcase the talent of these outstanding student musicians, but also the success of the music education programs at each school," said Marc Burt, assistant vice president, Office of Inclusion and Diversity for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "Honda is honored to support these programs with grants that each school receives for participating in the program."  ****** The Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase is the largest and most popular music event of its kind. Widely known to fans as "The Honda," the Showcase not only serves as a platform to highlight and celebrate the heritage and showmanship of HBCU marching bands, but also stands as the only national music scholarship program dedicated to supporting HBCU music education programs. The eight qualifying marching bands each earned a $20,000 grant for their school's music education programs, along with an all-expense paid trip to perform at the Invitational Showcase in Atlanta. We are all anticipating Beyonce's larger-than-life Superbowl halftime performance next Sunday. We have even seen the supposed set list and have been told that Bey will be joined by Destiny's Child and Justin Timberlake. I was a little skeptical myself as to how all of this was going to go down in a 15-minute show, and apparently I'm not the only one scratching my head. Hell, even one of the schedule PERFORMERS seems baffled. In a recent brief interview with WRUG Media, Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams seems taken aback when asked about the upcoming Superbowl performance! Check her response after the JUMP! Michelle says 'NO, No, No,' to the Super Bowl!! Williams says that she's sorry to disappoint but it basically ain't happenin'! I don't know if this is a ploy to throw people off and keep the element of surprise preserved, but Michelle was really just interested in shamelessly plugging her new upcoming gospel CD and her stint in the musical Fela. So what's your take? You think Michelle is for real or is she so sworn to secrecy about the performance that she had to totally deny everything to throw us off?
