| Marine Corps Band Spokesperson WAFFLES on #Beyonce LIP SYNC SCANDAL! [details] Posted: 22 Jan 2013 10:59 PM PST  Since word came out that Beyonce may or may not have LIP SYNCED her rousing rendition of 'The National Anthem' at Monday's Inauguration, we have gotten quite a few different takes. It appears now that the spokesperson for the Marine Corps band that accompanied the performances has some CONFLICTING accounts of what REALLY Happened! Check out the DETAILS after the JUMP!!  It appears that the STORY keeps getting muddled. A Marine Band spokesperson explained to CNN and Washingtonian.com on Tuesday that all music for inaugural ceremonies is recorded as a precaution. "That's something we've done for years and years. The Marine Band did perform live throughout the ceremony but we received last-minute word that Beyoncé wanted to use the recording."  Band director Colonel Michael J. Colburn told BuzzFeed Shift that Beyoncé didn't rehearse with the United States Marine Band till the night before the inauguration. "We had Kelly [Clarkson] in over the weekend to rehearse and record. Beyonce, she's getting ready for the Super Bowl, so we didn't have a chance to do anything with her until last night so it's a very, very tight window of opportunity," he said. Now it appears the story has changed again... On Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Marine Band told news outlets that Beyonce had lip synced at President Barack Obama's inauguration. Master Sgt. Kristin duBois said the band was notified at the last minute that Beyonce would use a pre-recorded voice track. But by late afternoon, the Marine Corps backed off that statement. Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Gregory Wolf said that because there was no opportunity for Beyonce to rehearse with the Marine Band, it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill advised. Instead they used a pre-recorded track for the band's portion of the song. "Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter's vocal performance," Wolf's statement continued, "no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded." So now it appears that NO ONE KNOWS if Beyonce sang or not?? Isn't that PECULIAR..... Knowles has YET to address the rumors and innuendo. | Breaking Now: School Shooting in Texas! [details] Posted: 22 Jan 2013 11:43 AM PST  There has been another school shooting, this time in Houston Texas!!! Get the details after the JUMP!  At least two people were shot in a shooting at Lone Star College in north Houston, Texas. Witnesses on the scene say the shooting may have escalated after a heated argument. Both victims have "multiple gun shot wounds," ABC13 reports, and are in serious condition. They will be brought into surgery. One of the victims — who was shot in the leg — is a school employee. The other, a younger man, was found on the ground unconscious, with his eyes closed. The college, as well as other neighboring schools, are on lock down. Lone Star College has been evacuated. Witnesses report hearing at least 5 gunshots and say there may be two shooters, one of whom is in police custody. The other shooter ran from the library into an administrative building and may have fled the scene into a wooded area. More details as info is released! | Did #Beyonce LIP-SYNC 'National Anthem' at The Inauguration! Sources say 'YES'! [details] Posted: 22 Jan 2013 10:16 AM PST  Lip Sync?? "AH HA!1 GOT Y'ALL ASSES!" We all know that Beyonce is a gifted PERFORMER, but now as the monumental Inaugural festivities of yesterday die down, sources are questioning whether or not Beyonce actually SANG the National Anthem live as reported!!! Get the details after the JUMP!! The band wasn't playing when Beyonce sang her rousing rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner at President Obama's second inauguration Monday. Did she lip-sync? "We all know Beyonce can sing," Master Sgt. of the U.S. Marine Corps Band Kristin Dubois told ABC News today. "We all know the Marine Corps Band can play. We do not know why she decided to go with the pre-recorded music at the last minute." A representative for Beyonce did not immediately respond to a question about whether the pop star sang the song or which version inauguration-goers heard on the Mall. The band was not playing while Beyonce was singing, Dubois added, but it was live during the rest of the performances, including Kelly Clarkson's rendition of "My Country, 'Tis of Thee." The band was asked not to play for only that performance, Dubois added. The issue surfaced today when Washingtonian magazine first reported that it didn't seem as though the "president's own" Marine Corps Band was playing during her resounding rendition. The pop star seemed to be having audio issues at one point during the song, pulling out her ear piece. Dubois said she did not know why Beyonce took the ear piece out. The Washingtonian also noted that Beyonce posted an Instagram photo of herself in a recording studio holding a copy of the sheet music to the "Star-Spangled Banner." It's not the first time for synced music at an Obama inauguration. In 2009, the cellist Yo-Yo Ma and the violinist Itzhak Perlman, because of cold and wind, did not play the version of John Williams' "Air and Simple Gifts" that was projected onto the Mall.
