[video] Posted: 03 Nov 2013 11:39 AM PST  Kerry Washington definitely adds a certain type of ZEAL and SHINE to anything she touches and 'SNL ' was no different! In a number of SKETCHES, Kerry and the SNL crew slyly addressed the ELEPHANT on the ROOM... the lack of BLACK FEMALE comedians on the show since Maya Rudolph's departure in 2007. After SNL vet, Kenan Thompson's remarks to 'TV GUIDE' about the lack of black female comedians on the cast is due to not being able to find black female comedians that are 'ready' for SNL, it seems like the show had SOMETHING TO PROVE. And Kerry Washington as host seemed RIGHT IN TIME. In my opinion, Washington SHINED in her sketches and definitely has that COMEDIC side that we sometimes forget about because her character on 'Scandal' is so SERIOUS!
